BUCKY O'HARE TRANSFORMERS Later in the day Bucky contacted Jenny and Dead-Eye about Willy DuWitt and where he worked at. JENNY: Wow, never knew he operated a penny arcade museum. Like the one we were visiting recently. DEAD-EYE: Won't it be fun seeing the human engineer again after so much time has passed. BUCKY: Like when we first encountered him due to the photon accelerator creating a doorway portal between dimensions. DEAD-EYE: And then he became part of our team waging war against the Toad Empire. JENNY: Aye, then said goodbye as he returned to his own world again. So it was the trio making their way to Musee Mechanique Arcade then up a flight of stairs into an apartment above the museum where William was preparing dinner. He greeted his former alien friends. WILLY: Nice of you to drop in again. How do you like San Fransokyo? JENNY: It's been so long and look at how you've grown. WILLY: Gee, enough already. Yeah I'm an adult now. DEAD-EYE: So this is where you live. Nice dwelling. WILLY: Yeah, after graduation from SFIT I've started a career in maintaining & preserving antique games like those in the arcade museum. BUCKY: Really interesting in operating games by knobs, levers, dials to make things move. WILLY: That's the whole idea. Simply drop in a coin and have fun. Next he served his friends dinner and was amazed that Bucky, Jenny and Dead-Eye enjoyed earth-food. During the meal he told tales about his friends Hiro, Wasabi, Honey, Fred, GoGo and Tadashi Hamada the older brother of Hiro and how they always hung out on occasion long before Hiro went into bot-fighting, Tadashi building BayMax for the first time at SFIT. WILLY: The explosion and fire that destroyed the Expo Showcase building was deliberatly set by Yokai a Kabuki masked terrorist who stole Hiro's microbots in the process. The same fire that took the life of Tadashi. JENNY: Good grief! DEAD-EYE: Thundering typhoons! BUCKY: Who was Yokai? WILLY: It was first assumed Yokai was Allistar Krei the founder of Krei Tech Industry who was offended when Hiro refused to sell the microbots but it turned out to be Professor Robert Callaghan the founder of SFIT. JENNY & DEAD-EYE: What?!! BUCKY: Great Scott! William explained how Professor Callaghan was using the microbots to get revenge against Professor Krei for what happened to his daughter Abigail Callaghan during a failed test run of Operation Silent Sparrow. Of the near destruction of Krei Tech Industry at the hands of Professor Callaghan leading to the victory of Big Hero 6. Then of Hiro and BayMax racing into the portal to rescue Abigail Callaghan. WILLY: In the end Hiro and friends continue helping people around the world while simultaneously battling crime in San Fransokyo as Big Hero 6. BUCKY: Amazing. What about Professor Callaghan? WILLY: He served time in prison for his crimes then released by petition from Abigail Callaghan so he continues working at principal at SFIT. JENNY: Wow, and all because Robert was afraid of his daughter's safety but mad to seek revenge? WILLY: Strange things happen to terran people on Earth. After dinner Bucky, Jenny and Dead-Eye said goodbye to DuWitt then took their leave of his residence, transforming into Peterbilt 379, Pontiac Solstice and GMC Topkick forms then drive back to their base as William watched them go. WILLY: Good luck, Autobots. Save the universe from the forces of evil. At the same time at headquarters it was Aries Ram reporting to Bucky once he made it back to base his invention was completed. ARIES: I suppose you want to take a look at it although I doubt I'll get any thanks in return. BUCKY: Let's see what you built. Together they made their way into a large clearing of sorts as the ram mutant made a magic gesture calling upon the light-magic within him. From out of nowhere there rose into view a slender lattice of gleaming steel & metal. Slowly it continued to rise until stopping at full extention its top partly hidden by drifting clouds. BUCKY: What in the universe is that? ARIES: From what I briefly found out about lightning striking tall objects on high points...I've created the lightning rod collector. It's the tallest object for miles around. BUCKY: And how do we extract the power from lightning? ARIES: Inside that cave over there is where I've constructed a lightning energy convertor. I plan on doing a test run during the next thunderstorm if one should arrive. BUCKY: Excellent, well done. Let's hope the Decepticons do not find out. But as he spoke, a winged messenger was on its way to enemy HQ. It was LaserBeak an alien bird-creature carrying news of the latest activity to its boss Triax Kahn! Triax listened to the report by LaserBeak then sent for Kale his personal bodyguard. TRIAX: What does it sound like to you? KALE: It must be a radio tower of unknown origin. From its size and location it must have great range, both for sending and receiving transmissions. TRIAX: Interesting... FIONA: Who are the Autobots sending messages to? Perhaps there are other Autobot recruits we know nothing about. We must destroy this thing before it's too late! TRIAX: Do not forget who's in charge here. I make the decisions, not you! FIONA: We shall see... TRIAX: LaserBeak will take you to where it made this discovery. This invention may be useful to us. KALE: By your command my lord. FIONA: I still say we should destroy it! Guided by LaserBeak, Kale went swiftly to the location of the Muir Woods. He stood on a nearby rise. KALE: Where is it? Where is the tall metal radio tower? I see nothing. LaserBeak took flight and circled in the sky. There was nothing to be seen. Kale was about to turn away when he sensed something strange. KALE: Eh, what's this? LaserBeak screeched making the bodyguard look in all directions. Something like running machinery seemed to be coming from underground. There was movement in the distance. As Kale watched, Aries lightning rod collector rose into the sky until its top was lost in the haze. Inside the cave the chief engineer made last minute adjustments of his lightning energy convertor, unaware that he was being spied upon. ARIES: There, that should do it. For hours, Kale remained on the hilltop. He attempted to tune into radio frequencies coming from the steel mast. But there was not a whisper of a radio signal, nothing at all. Whatever system the Autobots had created, it was quite undetectable, even to an expert like Kale. KALE: Come, let us return and inform the boss. By the time they made it back...Fiona was continuing to protest angrily about destroying the unknown invention but Triax was ignoring his 2nd in Command. Kale made his report as Kahn looked thoughtful. TRIAX: This technology is beyond even our wildest dreams. If we can learn its secret we will have a powerful weapon to our disposal. LaserBeak, you will return and keep watch on the Autobots while I make my plan. Unfortunately he did not notice the vixen in black attire whisper something to Drago Wolf the former brother to Lupe then both slipped quietly out of headquarters. Not knowing they were being watched, the Autobots made final preparations for the first test of the lightning energy convertor. Aries was explaining how everything functioned as Bucky, Jenny, Dead-Eye, Ken, Sally, Lupe, Judy, Nick, Sally listened together with Hiro, Fred, Wasabi, GoGo and Honey. ARIES: And that my friends is how the lightning energy convertor will function. HONEY: Wow! What a piece of alien technology. GOGO: Uh-huh... WASABI: Unlike something I've never built before. FRED: Whoa, I bet it will work. NICK: What if there isn't another storm? What if there's no more lightning? HIRO: There will be another storm sooner or later. We have to wait. NICK: Okay, we wait. What else we can do? BAYMAX: We can check radio reports on the radio to learn when another storm is due to arrive. LUPE: Cheer up, Nick. If there isn't a storm we can fly a flag on Aries mast. LaserBeak arrived on-site and perched atop the swaying structure as it detected movement far below. Exiting the cave emerged the Autobots and Big Hero 6 then the magic mutants changed into cars & trucks and in a blaze of headlights, they swept in a long line around the foot of the cave and back towards their base. LaserBeak made it back to headquarters and made its report. The steel mast was still a mystery. But now it appeared that the Autobots had made something which was hidden inside the mountain. TRIAX: I must know when is so important that they have buried it. I cannot tolerate Bucky knowing something I do not. I will force him to give the secrets one way or another. It was then he noticed Fiona Fox was missing. TRIAX: Where is Fiona? SLEUTH: I saw her leave with Drago Wolf but did not bother to ask where they were going. TRIAX: The mindless wench! I can only guess what she's planning. We must stop her before it's too late. Scramble! With that he led his minions enroute to stop Fiona before she destroyed the Autobots and their top secret invention. Inside Autobot HQ Nicole the computer began tuning into radio stations trying to catch the latest weather report updates. FRED: The sky is clouding over. I would not be surprised if another storm was due to arrive. WASABI: Well she's coming on boys and she's coming on strong. KEN: Duh? SALLY: Eh? NICOLE: Autobots, I've found the latest weather report. This is what was heard on the speakers... RADIO: Here is the local weather outlook for the next 24 hours. Temperatures will stay the same, but a moist, warm air-stream from the west will move in later, with a strong possibility of thunderstorms over the mountains. HONEY: This is it! A storm is on her way. GOGO: Uh-huh... NICK: What a planet this is. There is going to be another storm...so that's good? BUCKY: If Aries invention is ready for testing, let's not waste time. Autobots, transform! One by one the heroes of Warren changed into vehicles and with their human friends in tow raced back to the location of the lightning energy convertor. TO BE CONTINUED...
