TRANSFORMERS ALIENS IN DISGUISE "Continued" At home it was William telling his mother about how he was going to be in the Rally to Hill Valley with Krystal as navigator while Sally acted as a off road racing car. SUSAN: I know you can take care of yourself but I still worry of what might happen to you. WILLY: No need to panic, Mom. Both Sally and Krystal will keep me safe under their magic protection from the dark-side. DAVID: I know he will do an excellent job. SUSAN: Then good luck my boy cause you'll need it too. WILLY: I always believe in luck. DAVID: That's my son. Mrs DuWitt laughed in relief then the family sat down to dinner. Afterwards William in his bedroom down the hallway from his parents bedroom was going over the route when a brief knock on his open door made him look up and saw Sally standing there. SALLY: Your folks said I could come in and see you. Ready for the big race tomorrow? WILLY: Yeah, going over the race course again as well as learning how to shift gears when taking corners and accelerating down the straights. SALLY: Don't worry about shifting gears since I'll be doing all the driving myself. All you do is pretend to drive me in vehicle form. WILLY: Right, I keep forgetting about that. Then we locate the Decepticons new workplace and alert Fox. SALLY: You got it down already. You're as smart and intelligent as one of us, maybe a full fledge member of Team StarFox Autobots. WILLY: Cool! Sally laughed then hugged him before kissing him several times making William blush in the face momentarily. He gently pushed her off him as he got ready for bed going into the bathroom to brush his teeth then changing into his PJs before climbing into bed as Sally joined him of course wanting to be with her new lover-boy of course. She snuggled against him making DuWitt Junior shiver slightly from embarrassment briefly but it quickly went away afterwards...as he suddenly kissed her back catching Acorn by surprise this time around. SALLY: I don't believe it. You kissed me back? WILLY: Something inside made me do it as if I have a crush on you already. SALLY: You do... Oooooooh... please kiss me again. He did so as she pulled him into her loving arms and they enjoyed this happy moment for the first time. They stopped momentarily when Mr and Mrs DuWitt looked in to say goodnight to their son but did not notice the love scene taking place in the dark then headed to their bedroom afterwards. Both William and Sally sighed in relief then giggled playfully imagining what would've happened had they been caught kissing each other. Sally again pulled William into her arms and once more they savored the love sensation between them...until stopping again to catch their breaths. WILLY: Wow, what a rush. The first time that I kissed a girlfriend who comes from another planet. SALLY: And it won't be the last time either I guarantee it. Goodnight partner, see you in the morning. WILLY: Goodnight 2nd in Command to McCloud or is it Bucky Hare who holds that rank. SALLY: Beats me, I don't know. Ah, forget about that. Soon they were asleep dreaming happy visions in their minds. On the day of the Rally to Hill Valley, the Autobots left their base early. William DuWitt traveled as driver and Krystal as navigator inside Sally's Pontiac Solstice disguise. Dr DuWitt had gone along to help his son and the StarFox gang while his wife also wished him luck and be careful too. He was riding inside the PeterBilt 379 form of McCloud with the other Autobots inside a trailer attachment towed by the semi truck. Fisherman's Wharf where the rally was to start was crowded with people. A band played music to entertain the crowds, flags flew in the wind mostly the Stars and Stripes flag of course with the occasional Stars and Bars rebel flags here and there too. Concession booths had been set up selling seafood and other food items. And marshals guided each vehicle to the STARTING line one at a time then sent the drivers & navigators on their way. As a late entry, William and Krystal would start last in line. KRYSTAL: You ready? WILLIAM: Ready, you too? SALLY: I'm ready too...I can feel the power ready to launch me into space. Finally Acorn stood on the STARTING line and as the marshal dropped the green flag Acorn accelerated away down the streets as the crowds cheered. William pretended to drive as he went into each turn while Sally shifted down then back up as Krystal pretended to instruct DuWitt Junior how to take each turn and so forth until the crowds were almost left behind. Next they shot across the Golden Gate Bridge with the mind reading expert pausing to gaze out at the blue waters of the Golden Gate Bay noting the skyline of San Francisco falling behind them and a brief glimpse of Alcatraz Island too before going back to the business at hand. She then took out the 3D topographic map and together she and William looked over it together. KRYSTAL: Okay, the old railway and quarry are situated about halfway through the third stage of the course passing through the town of Sausalito before we arrive at Hill Valley. WILLY: So if Team StarWolf are in the old quarry, they would be watching the road near it too. I want to look at the quarry on foot. KRYSTAL: You want to do what? WILLY: Sally, you will have to drop me off without the Decepticons guessing you are not a rally car. SALLY: It will be tricky and dangerous too but I believe I can pull it off just the same. So after I deposit you, I'll carry on with Krystal for a bit then double back and join you on foot. KRYSTAL: Besides you'll need either me or Acorn to get in touch with Fox, your father and the rest of our gang. WILLY: Head's up, another check-point coming up fast. Then they were past the second stage of the race but there didn't appear to be any sign of other rallying cars anywhere about... WILLY: Any time now... The road wound through the hills, with thick woods on either side. Then they were running downhill. Ahead, the road swung left around a blind corner. Just around the bend there was the dull glint of rusty steel across the road. WILLY: Bingo, the old railway! Okay, slow down Acorn. SALLY: You got it! KRYSTAL: Good luck dude. Acorn braked for a moment as DuWitt Junior leaped from the driver's open door and tumbled onto the grass verge. As he rolled over and over, he heard the sound of Acorn accelerating up the next hill and into the distance. With any luck a StarWolf terrorist would not realize the car had stopped momentarily or that it no longer had a driver either. William climbed to his feet, looked cautiously about then began to follow the rusty railway up to the quarry. He crept from tree to tree as he followed the track. It was very quiet. No hum of machinery or voices to be heard. At the top of a long slope he found the quarry. WILLY: Whoa, looks like a ghost town from out of the Wild West. There's nobody here. Everything was overgrown with foliage and weeds. There were the ruins of several buildings and stone crushing plant. On the rusty rails stood an abandoned train of half a dozen hopper wagons. All of a sudden he heard familiar voices coming from behind him and half turned about to see Sally and Krystal approaching his location. KRYSTAL: Found anything yet? Oh my... SALLY: What kind of place is this. WILLY: It's one of many quarry mines but I don't see any sign of Team StarWolf. SALLY: Darn it, I hate it when that happens. WILLY: Who's got the map? Great Scott! I bet that's where they are. We went the wrong way. KRYSTAL: We did? SALLY: Impossible, how could we have gone the wrong way? WILLY: Check it out for yourself ma'am. The railway leads to an old tunnel. SALLY: Oh, yeah... so that's where the entrance is located. KRYSTAL: I'm contacting my husband right now. A few seconds after that the voice of McCloud and his hologram image appeared in midair after William explained about the tunnel. FOX: Good thinking, dude. The Decepticons are bound to have fortified the tunnel mouth, but your father says that railway tunnels have air shafts. We'll use one of those to drop in unexpectedly. Stand by for further instructions. KRYSTAL: Oh, darn it. I was about to ask him if I could take a closer look at the tunnel first. SALLY: We can still do it while they're sneaking into position, come on! WILLY: I got your 6:00 covered redhead! KRYSTAL: Hey, wait for me! All three made their way cautiously back down to the road and across to the opposite side. They followed the winding railway cutting...and there was the tunnel itself. Team StarWolf ha partly cleared away the undergrowth and the tunnel was brightly illuminated from within. Complex machinery glowed and hummed with power as preparations went ahead for the ion-drive test. KRYSTAL: It sounds like the enemy is hard at work in there. SALLY: Uh-huh... Then the voice of Fox came over both their power rings. FOX: Honey, Acorn! We have located an air shaft and making our way inside. We are about to launch our attack. Stand by to give cover fire. KRYSTAL: Be careful dear. SALLY: We're ready to move in when you give the word. FOX: Roger, out. WILLY: Now the fun begins. At first nothing happened when suddenly the voice of Kate O'Donnell echoed from the tunnel. KATE: Alert! Team StarFox is attacking us, prepare to engage the enemy! SALLY: Never! Let's take them. KRYSTAL: Aye! They're going down hard. WILLY: Charge! Immediately the trio rushed into the tunnel just as Fox, Falco, Bucky, Ari, Lupe, Dead-Eye, Jenny, Tigress, Monkey Kahn, Mimi, Rocket dropped out of the air shaft their laser pistols and rifles blazing away catching the enemy totally by surprise and off guard for the moment. The Decepticons began to retreat when Wolf's voice rang out above the sound of laser firing. WOLF: Stand your ground StarWolf! We are fighting for our right to return to CORNERIA and conquer the universe! Quickly the opposition rallied behind their leader taking cover among the machinery and blasted back at the Autobots who on the other hand were exposed in an empty section of the tunnel under the glare of the floodlights when Dr DuWitt acted swiftly. DAVID: Quick, shoot out the lights so the enemy can't see you in the dark! FOX: Right! StarFox take out the lights! A combined blast of laser fire shattered the lights. Under cover of darkness, they now found their rivals easy targets with so called painted bulls-eyes on their uniforms so to speak against the purple glow of the test equipment. But as they began to advance however, they were beaten back both by laser-fire and dark orbs hurled at them. FOX: Honey! Create a diversion! KRYSTAL: 10-4, dear. A little taste of my father's magic staff should do the trick. WILLY: Can you distract them a little longer? I have a better idea. SALLY: What do you have in mind? WILLY: The wagon train I saw back at the quarry. I can use that to bring down the house on the enemy's heads. SALLY: Of course...of course! Let's do it! WILLY: Dad, when you hear the word to get out of the tunnel, run like crazy and don't look back. DAVID: Roger, son. See you on the other side! Mystified at first, Krystal did not understand was was about to happen but she followed William's example as she and Acorn used their light rings to propel them through the air back to the site of the stone quarry site transporting William with them until they arrived on station, touched down then both Autobots watched as the young engineer ran to the first of the wagons, jumped up and heaved on the brake wheel then did the same to the other wagons in line until all brakes were unlocked. Now it was Sally and Krystal's turn to do the honors. SALLY: You've done your part, Junior. KRYSTAL: Now allow me to finish it. WILLY: Go for it ladies. The two warriors called upon the magic within themselves then pushed against the buffer of the last wagon and sent the whole train rumbling along the track, out of the quarry, and down the long slope to the tunnel. KRYSTAL: Fox, doomsday fast approaching, get out of there! SALLY: StarFox, evacuate now! WILLY: Dad, run for it! The train rumbled across the road, lurched around the last bend, and with a roar burst into the tunnel before impacting headlong into the ion-drive test rig, and the whole complex exploded in a blinding glare of released energy the shock-waves throwing StarWolf terrorists in all directions. Then in a cloud of dust the tunnel collapsed upon itself atop the wreckage inside. Sally, Krystal and Willy whooped it up slapping high five, fist bumped together then rushed to catch up with McCloud and the rest of the Autobots who had congregated a safe distance away from the scene of destruction. DAVID: Way to go my boy, you did it. WILLY: Yeah, I'm a genius. SALLY: You sure did, #1 Autobot ally and boyfriend of mine. DAVID: I'll pretend I did not see that. KRYSTAL: WILLY: Do you think this is the end of Wolf and his horde for now? FOX: I would like to think so. But I believe we will have to wait and see. Autobots transform and return home. DAVID: Wait until your mother hears how you saved the day. WILLY: I bet she will be surprised all right. Then the convoy made its way back to San Francisco to celebrate another triumph over the forces of evil. THE END OF CHAPTER 2
