Tempering of Bravery

Scene 1
Aldebaran Prison

A male Aldebaran is sitting in a dark prison.  He is cloaked in the 
shadows and sits quietly.  He looks up as the cell door opens.  An 
Assassin Sister steps in and stands by the door.

Male
(coldly)
“I was beginning to think the Sister Hood forgot I was down here.  Is 
it time for my execution yet?”

Voice
(from outside the door)
”Not yet male, but trust me, I didn’t forget you were down here.”

A figure walks in and the male squints to see it.  He quickly 
recognizes CASSIE.  She smiles at the look on his face.

Cassie
“It is so sweet that you remember who I am.  What is your name?”

Male
(slightly fearful)
”Dante.”

Cassie nods and walks up to stand before him.

Cassie
“So you’re the one who wielded the Shadow magic that the Forbidden One 
wields as well.”

Dante
(angrily)
”Damn traitor!  I should have killed him when I had the chance”

Cassie
(nodding)
”Yes you should have.”
(smiles seductively)
”How would you like a second chance to kill him?”

Dante looks up eagerly and quickly stands up.  The Assassin Sister 
takes a step forward, but Cassie motions for her to stop.  Cassie 
smiles as she looks at the male.

Dante
(coldly)
”What do I have to do to earn this second chance,  Head Sister Cassie?”

Cassie
(smiling)
”You’re off to a good start.”
(she reaches over and brushes at his tangled hair)
”Let’s get you cleaned up.”

She motions him out the door.  There are two other Assassin sisters 
waiting there.  They escort him down the hall and up a flight of stairs.  
Cassie stands by the cell door and the Assassin Sister steps up beside 
her.

Assassin Sister
“Master, are you sure about giving him power over an Assassin squad?”

Cassie
(smiling)
”You will be part of that squad, Shari.  I want this mission to work 
smoothly.  I want that cat killed.”

Shari
(nodding)
”And what of this other male you just recruited?”

Cassie
(looking at Shari)
”When the mission is over, kill him as well.”

Shari watches as Cassie walks down the hall.  She swallows gently and 
follows her.

A couple of hours later…

Dante is sitting at a table, eating food ravenously.  His hair and fur 
is wet and he is wearing a robe.  Cassie walks in and smiles to him.  
He takes a drink of wine and nods to her.

Cassie
(pleasantly)
“I am glad to see your appetite wasn’t ruined by the minimal amount of 
food they fed you in there.”
(she walks around him and rubs his shoulders with her paws, gently)
”I assume that you enjoyed your shower?”

She silently cast a spell and it flows through her paws and into 
Dante’s shoulders.  He starts to relax as a warmness flows through him.  
She lowers her head by his ears.

Cassie
(whispering gently)
”I can’t wait to see the look on the Forbidden One’s face when you show 
up.”

Dante
(turning to look at her)
”Just how am I suppose to beat him?  His fighting skill is greater than 
mine!”

Cassie smiles and gently snaps her finger.  Twelve Assassin Sisters 
walk in and stand in formation.

Cassie
(sweetly)
”One squad, twelve of my best.  Do you really think I would make you 
take this mission by yourself and don’t worry about the lack of magic 
on your behalf.  I have equipment for you to use”

Dante nods and stands up.  He walks over and studies each of the 
Assassin Sisters.  Cassie watches him and smiles evilly.

Cassie
(telepathically)
<All Assassin Sisters will pretend to follow his orders.  When that 
black cat is dead, you will kill this male as well.>

Dante turns to Cassie and she smiles to him sweetly.

Dante
(politely)
”Well Head Sister Cassie, I really must thank you.  You got me out of 
that prison, gave me a great meal, and a second chance to kill that 
damn cat.  I only wish I had a way to repay you for this.”

Cassie walks up and slips her arms around his waist and kisses him.

Cassie
(playfully)
“You leave in the morning.  I am sure we can come up with a way.”

Dante
(smiling)
”I am also pleased that the rumors of your treachery were false as 
well.”

Cassie looks at the Sisters and they walk out.  She looks back into 
Dante’s eyes and smiles seductively.  She leads him towards her 
bedchambers.

Cassie
(thinking as they walk)
<I have learned to play my parts well.  As for you, dear stupid Dante, 
you have yet to learn how to see through an act.  Stupid male.>

Scene 2
Royal Castle, Atlantis

KINJITE opens his eye and watches as the last repairs are being done to 
the castle central tower.  He looks over and sees YOUNGER ALLURA tackle 
OLDER ALLURA, as they rough house a little.  He turns his head the 
other way and sees AYAMI walking towards them.

Kinjite
(thinking)
<This is almost to perfect.  A wife, two daughters, and the castle is 
back up.>

He looks back at the castle and sighs.  Ayami walks over and sits in 
the grass beside were he is laying.

Ayami
(playfully)
”So I am suppose to believe that you are hard at work?”

Kinjite
(smiling)
”You told me to relax and I am working hard at it.”

Ayami gently punches him in the side as he sits up.

Kinjite
(putting an arm around her shoulders)
”How are the injured coming along?  Is Tenchi Otacon holding up?”

Ayami
“Yeah, he is.  He still wishes you would let him work on you and finish 
healing your wounds.”

Kinjite
“There were others who needed the help more than I did.  Besides, I am 
healing up just fine.”

He looks over and sees the two Alluras rolling around.  He taps Ayami 
and points to it.  They watch as the Younger Allura jumps up and dives 
onto the Older Allua, laughing.

Ayami
(quietly)
”Looks like they are getting use to being around each other.”

Kinjite nods as they sit there.  He turns as he hears footsteps 
approaching.  SHAR and CHELSEA walk up and salute.  Kinjite sighs and 
stands up.

Kinjite
(facing them)
”Yes?”

Shar
(relaxing)
”We found out your house survived the assault with minimum damage.  The 
workers already finished their work on it and are moving on to the 
other houses still standing.”

Kinjite
(nodding)
”That’s good to hear.  What about the defense systems?”

Chelsea
“We’re in the process of getting them up and running.  We are at fifty 
percent right now.”

Kinjiet
“Good.  Those damn toads could try to attack again at any time.”

Shar
(smiling)
”Hopefully we took enough out of their forces between Genus and here to 
make them think twice before they try it.”

Kinjite nods and turns to the castle again.  He looks back at Shar and 
Chelsea.

Kinjite
(firmly)
”You don’t have to keep reporting to me.  I’m not n charge anymore.”

Shar
(nodding)
”Yeah, we know.  We already informed the King and Queen, but we decided 
to inform you like this as well.  We know how much it bugs you.”

Kinjite shakes his head, as Ayami laughs a little bit.  Suddenly 
Younger Allura runs over and tackles Kinjite around the leg.  Older 
Allura walks up and smiles at her.

Younger Allura
(eagerly)
”You cant get me here!  Daddy is base!”
(then sticks her tongue out)

Older Allura
(threateningly)
“Is that so?”

She quickly grabs the younger Atlantean and pulls.  Younger Allura 
shrieks in laughter and tries to get a better grip, accidentally 
grabbing Kinjite’s tail.  Older Allura gives  a hard yank and Kinjite 
shouts in pain as he is yanked backward.  They all tumble to the ground 
and Ayami stands there laughing as she watches them.

On Aldebaran…

Cassie watches as Dante slips on the armor.  He picks up a pair of form 
fitting gloves and slides them on.  He turns to Cassie and nods.

Dante
“How do they work?”

Cassie
(kindly)
”Just flick your wrist.”


Dante flicks his wrist and three inch claws sprout from each finger.  
They each had a slight green glow to them.  He flicked his wrist again 
and they vanished.  He nods and looks at Cassie.

Cassie
(walking up)
”The armor will enhance your strength and speed.  With the helmet on, 
it will allow you to perceive things faster and react to them quicker.”

She picks up the helmet that has an emerald stone mounted on it and 
hands it to him.  Dante takes it and slides it on.  He nods and looks 
over at the Assassin Squad.

Dante
(firmly)
”Is everything set?”

Shari
(nodding)
”Yes sir, we have located the target and a method to land on the planet 
without being noticed.”

Dante
(nodding)
”Good, let’s go.”

He turns to Cassie and bows.  He turns and walks out the door.  Shari 
looks at Cassie with disgust on her face.

Cassie
(quietly)
”Don’t worry.  The enchantments will cancel as soon as the Forbidden 
One dies.  Then kill him and bring the equipment back.”

Shari
(quietly)
”But last night?”

Cassie
(making a disgusting face)
”We play our parts to achieve our goal.  Trust me, it was an act.”

Shari nods and quickly walks out the door, followed by the other 
Assassins.  Cassie smiles and walks over to a small table.  She pours 
herself a small glass of wine and lifts it.

Cassie
(smiling)
”Finally, that damn cat will be killed.  Then the Sisters will kill 
Dante.  Once this is over, there will be no traces of that ancient 
magic anywhere in the Aniverse!”

She laughs slightly and drinks the wine.

Scene 3
Kinjite’s House

Kinjite opens the door and walks in.  His eye scans the place and 
notices the few spots that were worked on.  Younger Allura runs past 
him and up the stairs to her room to check on it.  Ayami and Older 
Allura walk up and stand beside him.  Kinjite nods and walks into the 
kitchen with them following.  He walks over and opens the refrigerator, 
opens it, shakes his head and takes out a bottle of juice.

Kinjite
(opening the bottle)
“They even stocked the refrigerator.  Sheesh.”

He walks over and sits at the table, with Ayami and Older Allura.

Ayami
(looking at him)
”It is because you are a Chosen.  We already had this talk before.”

Older Allura
(curious)
”I know that the Chosen are split into two Groups, the Tenchi and the 
Oni.  Where would I fit, with my powers coming from a grey source?”

Ayami
(looking at her)
”I’m not sure.  There has never been a case of grey before.  It is 
always light and dark, never a grey.”

Kinjite
“When I first took on the light as well as the dark, I had a brief 
moment of grey, before they separated.”

Ayami
(stunned)
”you never told me of this?  When was this?”

Kinjite
“Before I met you.  It was when I fought that male Aldebaran on Genus 
and then on Aldebaran.”

Ayami just sits there and looks at him, stunned.  Younger Allura walks 
in and over to the refrigerator and opens it.  She pulls out a bottle 
of juice.  She walks over and looks at her mom.  Ayami gently picks her 
up and sets her on her lap.

Ayami
(brushing Allura’s hair with her fingertips)
“So what do we do now?  The toads know of this world and a bit more of 
our military ability and they know that we are trying ot help the UAC.”

Kinjite
(taking a drink)
”True, they do.  All I can say is wait and see.  When the UAC is ready, 
I’m sure they will let us know.”

During this time, Younger Allura is trying to open her bottle of juice.  
She is yanking and tugging on it, but can’t get a good enough grip.  
Finally, in frustration, she slams the bottle down on the table and it 
explodes, showering everyone with juice.  Older Allura slowly wipes the 
juice off her face.  Ayami has juice dripping off her whiskers and face.  
Kinjite, who was in the middle of taking a drink, lowers his bottle and 
looks at his daughter, who has juice dripping off her face and hair.

Kinjite
(wiping his face)
”Are we having a problem, Allura?”

Younger Allura
(smiling weakly)
”I got it open.”

Ayami
(sighing)
”Well, I know what we are going to be doing for now.  Any ideas on what 
we should be doing after the baths?”

Older Allura
(looking at Younger Allura)
“I can think of a few.”

In the mountains…

An Aldebaran shuttle lands in a small clearing and a hatch opens.  
Dante walks out, shortly followed by Shari.

Dante
(looking around)
”What do you know about this race?”

Shari
(calmly)
“They are a high military race.  They possess the same type of magic 
you did.  The planet is known for its harshness and it ahs a shorter 
cycle than other planets do.”

Dante
(looking at Shari)
“They possess the magic I had and does Head Master Cassie know of 
this?”

Shari
(nodding)
”Not to the point like Aldebaran.  Apparently magic is a rarity among 
this race.  About tone out of every hundred is born with it.  I have 
not informed Head Master Cassie yet.”

Dante
(nodding)
”Good.  How far to the target’s location?”

Shari
“He lives near the castle we saw as we arrived.”

Dante
(nodding)
”Then lets go.”

He starts walking as the other Assassin Sisters step out of the shuttle.  
One of them leans closer to Shari.

Assassin Sister
(whispering)
”Why don’t we just kill this male and complete the mission by 
ourselves?”

Shari
(whispering back)
”Because Head Master Cassie has ordered us to do it this way.”

Shari follows Dante and the rest of the Assassin Sister do as well.

Kinjite House…

Ayami pulls on her body suit and finishes drying her hair.  She looks 
over as Kinjite steps out of the shower, drying his hair.

Ayami
(picking up a brush)
”I think we should get Younger Allura tested.  She is growing in 
strength at an amazing rate.”

Kinjite
(looking over)
”Are you sure?  I mean, what will it do to her if she doesn’t have the 
Gift?  I caught her comparing herself to Older Allura?”

Ayami
(brushing her hair)
”I know, but we can’t keep putting it of.  It won’t have any real 
effect on who she is, if she doesn’t have the gift.  She will always be 
in the spot light, since you’re her dad.  We need to find out if she 
has the Gift, so we can start teaching her.  It is harder to teach them 
when their older.”

She puts down the brush and watches Kinjite get dressed quickly.  He 
looks over at her and sighs.  He is about to say something, when he 
hears a whispering comeing out of the various corners in the room.  He 
looks around and rubs his ear.  The whispering stops.

Ayami
(concerned)
”Are you alright?”

Kinjite
(rubbing his ear wit a towel)
”Yeah, just some water in my ear.”

Ayami
(nodding)
”If your sure.  So  what are we going to do about Younger Allura?”

Kinjite
(lowering his head)
“I’m just worried about her, that’s all.”

Ayami walks over and gently places a finger under his chin.  She gently 
pushes it up and looks into his eye.

Ayami
(kindly)
”I know you are.  The Test won’t harm her in anyway, but we do need to 
know.”

Kinjite
(gently takes her paw)
”Yeah, you’re right.  I’m just worried about her and the impact it 
might have on her.”

Ayami
(gently)
”High Priestess Selena will administer the test.  She will also help 
her deal with it if she doesn’t have the Gift.”

Kinjite nods and smiles.  He gently kisses Ayami and lets go of her paw.  
He starts towards the door.

Kinjite
(quietly)
”I’ll clean up the bomb zone in the kitchen, while you’re gone.”

Ayami watches him walk out the door and shakes her head.  She catches 
up with him on the walkway.

Ayami
“Why don’t you go talk to High Priestess Selena about the Test.  I’ll 
clean up the kitchen while you’re gone.”

Kinjite
(stops and looks at her)
”Are you sure?”

Ayami
(nodding)
”Yeah, she can explain the test to you then. Besides, High Priestess 
Selena has been wanting to talk to again anyways.”

Kinjite smiles and hugs Ayami.  He turns and heads down the stairs with 
her beside him.

Scene 4
Castle Temple, Atlantis

Kinjite walks through the door and a young female Acolyte walks up to 
him.  She bows deeply and smiles at him warmly.

Acolyte
(kindly)
”What may I do for you , Master Oni Lance?”

Kinjite
(bowing back)
”I have come to speak with High Priestess Selena.  Is she available?”

Acolyte
(pointing to a cushion)
”I you would like to have a seat, I will go see if she is free at the 
moment.  May I ask what this is about?”

Kinjite
(smiling)
”I need to set up the Test for my daughter Allura.”

The acolyte smiles and gestures to the cushion again.  Kinjite nods and 
sits on the cushion, as the Acolyte runs off.  A few minutes later, she 
returns and bows to him again.

Acolyte.
(kindly)
”High Priestess Selena is dealing with a couple of matters at the 
moment.  It should only take a little bit, if you want to wait.”

Kinjite
(nodding)
”Thank you, I will wait for her then.”

The acolyte walks off and brings back a small glass of wine for him.  
She then returns to her duties.  Kinjite gently sips the wine and waits.

At Kinjite’s house…

Ayami finishes up wiping the table and puts the cloth in the sink.

Ayami
(to herself)
”How did she get it to spread so far?”

She shakes her head and smiles.  There is a gentle knock on the door 
and she walks towards it.  As soon as she opens the door, an Aldebaran 
Assassin sister leaps through and drives her to the ground, with a paw 
around her throat.  Several others move in and take various points 
around the room.  Dante walks in, followed Shari.  He looks down at 
Ayami and his eyes narrow.

Dante
(coldly)
”Where is Kinjite?”

Upstairs…

Older Allura finishes helping Younger Allura get dressed and is 
brushing her hair.

Younger Allura
(worried)
”Do you think Daddy and mommy are mad about the juice?”

Older Allura
(putting the brush down)
”No, I’m sure they would have said something if they were.”

She turns Younger Allura around and faces her.

Older Allura
“Allura, you need to be more patient.  You can’t do everything 
yourself.”

Younger Allura
“I know, but Daddy makes it look so easy.  He just pops the top right 
off and I can’t do it.”

Older Allura
(smiling)
”You’re still a kitten!  Don’t be in such a hurry to grow up.”

They both stop and look at the door as they hear the voice down below.

Older Allura
(quietly)
”I thought dad went to the Temple.”

They walk over and open the door.  They creep out onto the walkway and 
peer over the edge.  Older Allura’s eyes widen at what she sees.

Older Allura
(thinking to herself)
<Assassin Sister?  Here and working with a male?>

Downstairs…

Dante glared at Ayami.

Dante
(getting angrier)
”I want to know where that traitor is!  Where is he?”

Ayami
(hissing)
”Go frell yourself!”

Dante
(coldly)
“Fine.  I guess I will just have to leave a message for him then.”

He looks at the Assassin Sisters and nods.  They start smashing 
furniture around the room.  On e of them even picks up a chair and 
throws it out a window.    Dante steps over and stands by Ayami and 
flicks his wrist so the claws come out.

Dante
(coldly)
”You let him know I came here to talk with him and when I found out he 
wasn’t here, I was all heart broken.”
(he grabs Ayami by the hair and yanks her to her feet)
“And you can tell him that I plan on finishing what I start on Genus!”

His clawed hand comes slashing down and blood sprays from Ayami’s 
stomach.  He drops her on the ground and kicks her in the stomach hard.

Dante
(hissing)
”You an also tell him I haven’t forgotten what happened on Aldebaran 
either!  I still have the scar to remember it by!”
(looks at the Assassin Sisters)
”Let’s go.”

They turn and walk out the door.

Upstairs…

Older Allura has her paw over Younger Allura’s mouth and keeps it there, 
until she is sure the group is gone.  She then jumps over the rail and 
lands in the living room, near Ayami.  She runs over and gently turns 
Ayami over.  She turns to look at Younger Allura, as she runs down the 
stairs.

Older Allura
(ordering)
”Go in the kitchen, Allura!”

Younger Allura stops for a second and then runs to the kitchen.  Older 
Allura rips the curtains off the window and wraps them around Ayami’s 
stomach.

Older Allura
(in a comforting voice)
”Hold on mom!  I’ll get some help!”

Allura turns to the door and it slides open as Shar and Chelsea barge 
through.

Shar
(stopping)
”By the Goddesses!”

At the Temple…

Kinjite looks up as High Priestess Selena walks toward shim, smiling.  
She bows to him and he returns the bow.

Selena
(kindly)
”How can I help you, Master Oni Lance?”

Kinjite
“My wife wishes to have the test performed on our daughter. And wanted 
me to set it up with you.”

Selena
(smiling happily)
”Another one for the Test and it is your daughter!  I have looked 
forward to this day!  I will prepare the Test immediately!”

Kinjite is about to say something, when he hears the whispering again 
form the corners.  This time it sounds more like laughter.  He looks 
around and Selena notices this.

Selena
(concerned)
”Are you alright, Master Oni Lance?”

Kinjite 
(looking at her)
”Yeah, just a bothered ear is all.”

Suddenly Older Allura comes barging through the door and into Kinjite.  
The first thing he notices is the hysterical look in her face.

Kinjite
(worried)
”What’s wrong?”

Older Allura
(hysterical)
”Mom was attack!  Allura saw the whole thing!”

On Aldebaran…

Cassie smiles as she watches a crystal sheet with images on it.

Cassie
(smiling)
”He is doing better than I thought he would!  The forbidden One will 
hunt him until the end of time for that!  It was worth putting that 
stone in the helmet for this kind of view of events!”

Scene 5
Medical Facility

Chelsea is sitting in a chair with Younger Allura in her lap.  Shar is 
pacing around the room.  Suddenly the doors slam open and Kinjite 
storms in, followed by Older Allura and High Priestess Selena.

Kinjite
(demanding)
”What the frell happened!?”

Shar steps up to him and puts a paw over his mouth.  He then points to 
Younger Allura.

Shar
(firmly)
”Not now.  Not here.”

He turns and walks into a nearby room and Kinjite follows him.  Chelsea 
hands Younger Allura to Older Allura and follows the two males.  High 
Priestess Selena sits by th te two Alluras and puts and arm around them, 
comfortingly.

In the room…

Kinjite keeps his anger under control until Chelsea shuts the door..  
He looks at Shar, when the door shuts.

Kinjite
(fighting to keep control)
”What happened?”

Shar holds up a disc.

Shar
(flatly)
”From your home security system.”

He puts it in a player and starts it  Kinjite watches the whole scene 
and stops the player.  He back s it up and looks at Dante’s face.

Shar
(quietly)
”Do you know him?  He seems to know you and hate you.”

Kinjite
(seething with anger)
”I fought him on Genus and then one Aldebaran.  He was suppose to have 
been executed by now!”

Chelsea
(quietly)
”We tried to contact the Aldebaran Queen, to ask about the Assassin 
Sister, but weren’t able to get through.”

Kinjite’s eye narrows and he punches a few keys.  The screen zooms in 
on an Assassin Sister’s chest plate.  There is a marking there.

Kinjite
(quietly)
”That isn’t the marking of the Throne.  That is Cassie’s markings!”

Shar
(nodding and then looking at Kinjite)
”Where were you during the attack?”

Kinjite
(confused)
”I was at the Temple setting up Allura’s test.  Why?”

Shar
(nodding)
”I knew you were going to say that.  I saw you.  Unfortunately, someone 
else is saying they say you leave your house a few minutes before 
Chelsea and I showed up.  You were nowhere on that video.”

Kinjite starts to open his mouth, but the whisperings start again.

Whispering
(laughing)
”Ha, ha, ha, ha!  Poor, poor, poor Kinjite.  His little wife was hurt!”

Kinjite
(recognizing the voice)
”I killed you!”

Whispering
(taunting)
”Yes you killed the body!  Ripped it right in half, but not the 
spirit!”

Shar and Chelsea look around, stunned having heard the voice as well.

Shar
(claws extending from his fingers)
”Who the hell was that?!”

Kinjite
(quietly)
”It was me.”

Just then a nurse walks in and everyone looks at her.

Nurse
(quietly)
”Master Oni Lance, Tenchi Otacon wants to speak with you.”

Kinjite nods and walks out the door.  Otacon is standing by another 
door, with blood on his coat.  Kinjite walks up to him, worried.

Kinjite
(worried)
”How is she?”

Otacon
(bowing slightly)
”She will live.  They were deep cuts.  IT will take them awhile to heal 
though.”

Kinjite
(confused)
”Why?  I thought you could heal wounds with your magic.”

Otacon
(nodding)
”I can, but not hers.  There is another kind of magic there.  It reacts 
explosively to our magic.  I believe the weapon used to harm Tenchi 
Ayami was enchanted.”

Kinjite
(quietly)
”Aldebaran magic.”

Otacon nods as he remembers the fight on Aldebaran.

Otacon
(quietly)
”There is more, I’m afraid.”
(he waits a few seconds, until Kinjite nods)
”Her wounds were deep and severe.  Unless she can heal better than I 
have ever seen one do, Tenchi Ayami will never have kittens again.”

Kinjite just stands there for a second.  His knees give out and he 
drops to a kneeling position on the floor, as the news sinks in.  He 
looks over at Younger Allura.

Kinjite
(whispering)
”She wanted to have two more kittens.  Another female and a male.”
(he looks up at Otacon)
”How sure are you?”

Otacon
(kneeling by him)
”I have done all I can.  I would say bring in off planet help, if it 
wasn’t the start of the storm season and if I thought they could help.  
We did the best we could and unfortunately, it wasn’t enough.  It saved 
her life, but that was all.  I’m sorry.”

Otacon slowly stands up and walks down the hall.  Shar walks up beside 
Kinjite and places a paw on his shoulder.  Kinjite looks over at Older 
Allura and Younger Allura, sitting by the High Priestess.  He looks 
down again as a tear rolls down his cheek.  He can feel the rage 
swelling up inside of him.  The call for the destruction of the ones 
who caused this pain.  The hatred pouring into his muscles.  He 
clenches his fist tightly as his muscles start to bulge.  Shar looks 
down and sees this and takes a step back.  Kinjite’s arms start to 
shake as he sits there.  Older Allura watches this and looks down.

Older Allura
(thinking)
”He won’t become that monster.  His heart won’t let him, but it won’t 
let him control his emotions either.”

She looks up in time to see Kinjite smash his fist down into the 
concrete floor, hard enough to shatter it and create a spider web 
effect across the floor.  He stands up quickly and turns to the door.

Kinjite
(as he walks)
”High Priestess, please watch over my daughters and wife.  I have 
business to attend to.”

He slams the door open and walks out it.  Younger Allura watches as he 
walks out and hugs Older Allura tighter.

Younger Allura
(quietly)
”Can we see mommy yet?”

Outside…

Kinjite walks across the blowing grass.  Dark clouds are swirling 
together and the wind is whipping around.  Across the sky a streak of 
lightning flashes.  Shar quickly catches up with him and grabs his arm.

Shar
(yelling over the winds)
”What are you doing?”

Kinjite
(yelling back)
”I’m going to kill those son of a bitches!”

Shar
(yelling)
”Are you crazy?  This is a major storm building up and you want to 
chase some freak across the planet?”
(he looks at Kinjite and sees the pain in his eye)
”You’re not doing it alone, old cat!  I’m coming too!  Don’t forget I 
have feelings for her too!”

Kinjite nods and they take off  running into the winds.  Chelsea 
watches from the door and turns to the waiting room.

Chelsea
(quietly)
”You two better come back alive!”

Scene 6
Forest in Atlantis Mountains

Dante is walking through the woods.  He stops and looks to the females 
with him.

Dante
(yelling above the winds)
”We need somewhere to hide, but I don’t want him to follow us back to 
the ship.  Locate an area that is open for a fight!”

One of the Assassin points and Dante looks in the direction.  He sees a 
construction sight and nods.

Dante
(smiling)
”How appropriate!  I can kill him and bury him in the same place!”

He chuckles and starts heading that way.

At Kinjite’s House…

Kinjite and Shar quickly approach the house.  Kinjite stops outside the 
door and starts looking around.

Shar
(over the winds)
”What are we doing back here for?”

Kinjite
(over the winds)
”Looking for a trace!  Otacon said he found traces of a magic that 
reacted explosively with ours!  The only one I know of is Aldebaran and 
those were Assassin Sisters in the video!”

He stops and looks at the ground.  His eye suddenly turns black and he 
smiles.

Kinjite
“Bingo!”

Shar looks over and sees him starting to walk off.  He quickly catches 
up with Kinjite.

Shar
(over the wind)
”Find something?”

Kinjite nods and starts running towards the forest.  Shar quickly 
follows in step.  As Kinjite runs, his eye remains black.  In his field 
of vision are marks of golden sparkles.  He smiles as he runs.

Kinjite
(thinking)
”You were right, Otacon.  An enchantment, but I am guessing on more 
than just the weapon.”

He ducks under a branch and slides to a stop.  The trial continues 
ahead, but he isn’t looking at the trail.  Shar slides to a stop beside 
him and stares stunned.

Shar
(stunned)
“Is that…?”

At the hospital…

Ayami slowly opens her eyes and feels something laying beside her.  She 
looks over and sees Younger Allura curled up beside her.  She looks 
around and sees Older Allura, Chelsea, and High Priestess Selena 
sitting in chairs.  Older Allura jumps up and approaches the bed.

Older Allura
(cautiously)
”Mom?”

Ayami
(quietly)
”Where am I?”

Older Allura
(gently taking her mom’s paw)
”In the medical facility.  How do you feel?”

Ayami
(quietly)
”My stomach hurts.  What happened?”

Chelsea
(stepping up)
”You don’t remember?”

Ayami
(thinks for a moment)
”The last thing I remember is that male yanking me off the ground.  
Then his claws came slashing down and then I was here.”

Chelsea
(nodding)
”You were struck hard in the stomach by those claws.  Tenchi Otacon 
tried to heal you, but found that it has some sort of magic the 
explodes when exposed to our magic.”

Ayami looks down at Younger Allura, as she whimpers in her sleep and 
nestles against her side.

Selena
(from her chair)
”She was very upset at your injuries.  She kept asking to see you.  
When we finally were allowed in, she started crying at the sight of you, 
but wouldn’t leave.  She ended up climbing up there and laying by you.  
She was very determined to stay there too.  Tenchi Otacon found out, 
when he tried to move her.  It took him a couple of seconds to heal the 
claw damage she inflicted on him.”

Ayami just lays there and looks at her daughter in amazement.  She 
looks up at Older Allura.

Ayami
(worried)
”Where is Lance?”

Older Allura swallowed gently and looked at Chelsea.  Chelsea nodded 
and opened the door.  Ayami’s eyes widen as she sees the floor.

Older Allura
(quietly)
”He is hunting.”

In the Forest…

Kinjite stands there with the wind whipping his hair and tail around.  
His eye changes back to normal as he looks at the object in front of 
him. It is a swirling mass of darkness, that hovers about three feet 
off the ground.  Shar steps up beside him, staring in amazement.

Kinjite
(over the winds)
”Are you here to help me?  If you are here to stop me, then get the 
hell out of my way!”

There is a spectral laughter from around them.  The Mass floats a 
little closer and stops about two feet from them.

Voice
(hauntingly)
”Well, Kinjite.  What are you going to do if I am here to stop you?  
You could only hit me if you have learned to strike at the right 
moment.”

Kinjite’s eye opens wide and his jaw drops in shock.

Kinjite
(stunned)
”Oni?  Is that you?”

The laughter resonates from all around.

Oni
(kindly)
”It has been awhile, hasn’t it?  Heard you could use some help.”

Kinjiet
(stunned)
”But you were destroyed on Genus!”

Oni
(laughing)
”Remember your studies.  You can’t destroy a shadow with a shadow..  
Your opponent’s arrogance allowed him to overlook that and let me 
escape.”

Shar looks back and forth at the two.   He turns to Kinjite.

Shar
(stunned)
”Lance, you know this one?”

Kinjite
(nodding)
”She is the one who gave me my powers and taught me in the world of 
darkness.  She is an Aldebaran female who was selected by the Text.”

Shar
(confused)
”What are you rambling about?  This is an Ascended One!  A Chosen who 
has touched the highest level of their powers!  They never interact 
with us and they don’t give us our powers!  Even if this was an 
Aldebaran female with our magic, how would she have known to take the 
name of Oni?  That is a title, not a name!”

Kinjite looks at Shar and then at Oni.

Oni
(floating closer)
”He is right, Kinjite.  It is time you were told the truth about myself 
*and* yourself, my dear son.”

Kinjite takes an involuntary step back and stares in shock.

Kinjite
(stunned)
”My dear son?”

Oni
(patiently)
“Yes.  I was never an Aldebaran.  Ahsika ordered me to tell you that.  
It was so you would make your own choices without any influence from me.  
My name is really Ayeka.”

Kinjiet
(shaking his head)
”How can that be?!  You died at a young age!  Selena told me that most 
Chosen would practice their entire life and never reach their highest 
point!”

Shar
(shocked)
”Great Priestess Ayeka!  She was the strongest of the Chosen!  She 
advanced in her strength faster than any other Chosen ever has!  The 
stories say that at the age of six, she was amazing strong!”

Oni
“The stories are true.  I was stronger than the others.  I hated it 
because of the fact I was isolated from the others, for they were 
afraid of me.  Ahsika was worried that the same would happen with you , 
Lance.  That is why I was told to take you to another planet and give 
birth to you.  Ahsika told me of Aldebaran, were the females were 
almost all born with magic.  I hoped you wouldn’t stand out.”

Kinjite
(anger building)
”I went through fourteen years of hatred and disgust, because I was a 
male and refused to fit their view of a male!  They sealed me away for 
four hundred years, remember?”

Oni
(quietly)
”Yes, but you survived, just like Ahsika said you would.  Now you are 
stronger than you would have been here.  So much stronger and you have 
yet to even tap into your real potential.  You learned the value of 
caution with your magic.”

Kinjite
(trying to control his anger)
”Yeah right, and I learned what it is like to be *alone* after you were 
taken away!”

Oni
“Listen to yourself, Lance!  Listen to how you speak!  That is the last 
reason you were born on Aldebaran!  The fire you feel.  It has died 
down.  The Goddesses knew that it would need to be rekindled!  You were 
chosen to be the fire starter.  I’m sorry for the pain that came with 
it.”

The mass shifted around and slowly takes on the form of an Atlantean.  
It continued to shift and soon formed into Ayeka.  Kinjite looks at her 
and feels  his anger soothe at the sight of the sadness on her face.

Kinjite
(gruffly)
”We can finish this later!  Right now, I have someone to kill!”

Ayeka looks up and smiles.

Ayeka
(smiling)
”I’m glad I brought some back up.”

Suddenly a ball of light shoots out of the sky and slams into Shar’s 
chest.  He staggers back as energy crackles all over his body.  His 
hair develops white streaks and the wiring in his body glows like white 
fire, creating intricate designs all over his body.  He looks down at 
his body and smiles, as he feels the power flow through him again.

Ayeka
(become a swirling mist again)
”Consider that on temporary loan, Tenchi Shar.  Until the battle is 
over.”

Then the black mass that is Ayeka floats over and fuses with Kinjite.  
Kinjite smiles as a hint of pure rage appears in his eye.

Ayeka
(evilly)
”Let’s go kill that asshole who hurt my daughter in law and scared my 
granddaughters!”

Kinjite looks over at Shar and they nod at each other.  They leap into 
the trees and start bounding through the branches at high speed, 
leaving streaks of light and dark through the stormy night.

Scene 7
Medical Facility

Ayami is laying on the bed with an arm over Younger Allura.  Suddenly 
her eyes snap open and she looks around quickly.

Chelsea
(looking up)
”What is it, Tenchi Ayami?”

Ayami
(looking around)
”Something happened to Master Oni lance.  I can feel it!  He feels 
stronger, all of a sudden.”

Older Allura sits in her chair and listens.  She looks out the window 
and sees the lightning crack.  She looks at her sword on the table and 
makes a choice.  She stands up and picks up her sword, strapping it on 
her back.  Everyone looks at her.

Ayami
(already knowing the answer)
”Where are you going?”

Older Allura
(firmly)
”I’m a Chosen as well.  I’m going to help Dad.”

Selena looks up and studies Older Allura.

Selena
(curious)
”You’re a Chosen?  What Title?”

Older Allura
(walking towards the door)
”Neither.”

She walks out the door and towards the main entrance.  She stops at the 
main entrance and watches the storm.  She takes a deep breath and the 
grey flames wrap around her.  She then sprints into the storm.  Selena 
watches her from the window.

Selena
(stunned)
”Grey?”

At the Construction site…

Dante is standing by a work shack, watching the storm.  His eyes dart 
from each shadow.

Dante
(smiling)
”So this is what it is like to be the prey.  I love it!  My senses are 
sharpen and waiting.  I know he is out there, coming for me.  He could 
attack from anywhere!”     

His ear twitches as he hears approaching footsteps.  He spins and 
slashes with his claws.  Shari easily ducks the blow and hisses.

Shari
(hissing)
”Do that again, male, and I will take your damn head, regardless of 
what Head Master Cassie has told me to do!”

Dante snorts and turns around.

Dante
(coldly)
”What do you want?”

Shari
(flatly)
”The target is approaching.  A couple of our Sisters spotted him, 
moving through the trees.  He knows where you are.”

Dante laughs a little bit and smiles.  He walks from the shack and into 
the worksite.  His wait isn’t long.  He turns as he hears the branches 
snapping.  He flicks his wrist in anticipation.  Suddenly he notices 
something.  Those weren’t branches, they were trunks.

In the Forest…

Allura is racing through the forest.  Her eyes are closed, but she 
weaves in and out of the trees at high speed.  Her paw on the hilt of 
her sword, strapped to her back.  Her hair trialing behind her, as is 
her tail.

Allura
(thinking)
”I can feel them all around!  The battle has already started!  There 
are some coming towards me, as well!  Strike fast, like the rattle 
snake!”

She sprints a little faster.  Suddenly the area is bathed in a bright 
flash of light.  An Assassin Sister leaps forward for a quick kill.  
The other two are blinded by the light and hear a sickening sound of 
flesh tearing.  They try to look as the light dies down and Allura 
leaps forward and takes the left leg off of one of them, as she runs by.

In the worksite…

Kinjite leaps over the attack, from an Assassin Sister and grabs her.  
He flings her aside like a rag doll, as he continues towards Dante.  
Dante lunges at him and they collide with a bone crunching crack.  Shar 
lands in the clearing and sees Kinjite tackle Dante.  He looks around 
and sees a couple of Assassin Sister approaching, with their paws 
glowing.

Shar
(licking his lips)
”Yummy!  Leftovers!”

He flicks both of his wrist and his four inch claws snap out, glowing 
white.  The Assassin Sisters start to circle him.

On Aldebaran…

Cassie flinches as she sees the impact between Kinjite and Dante.

Cassie
(smiling)
”That has got to hurt!  All that power!  Maybe I should try and 
persuade that cat.”

In the Forest…

Allura continues racing through the trees at high speed.  Her ears 
twitch as she hears an Assassin Sister catching up with her.  The 
Assassin Sister runs up alongside her and they race through the trees  
The Assassin suddenly leaps over and slashes with her claws, covered in 
a sickly green glow.  In a flash, Allura disappears and the claws swipe 
were her head was just a split moment ago.  The Assassin continues 
running and suddenly, Allura springs from down from above.  The sword 
easily cut into the left side of the Assassin’s neck and exited below 
her right arm.  Allura hit the ground and continued running as the 
Assassin stopped.  Suddenly her head and upper right side slowly slides 
off and falls to the ground.

Allura
(thinking while running)
”I have to get there!  He’s coming!  I can feel him!”

She races under the hiding spot of two more Assassin Sisters and 
continues on.

In the work site…

Kinjite ducks under a claw swipe and rolls across the ground.  He rolls 
up to his feet and rips a steel bar out of the ground.  Dante stops his 
charge and takes a step back.  Kinjite comes lunging forward and swings 
the bar.  Dante ducks an dslashes back, with his claws, ripping into 
Kinjite’s side.  Kinjite launches his knee up suddenly and it smashes 
into Dante’s face and flips him over.  Kinjite spins the bar around and 
stabs it down towards Dante’s chest.  Dante barely rolls out of the way 
and back to his feet, just as Kinjite lands a solid kick into his chest, 
and launches him across the site.  Dante slams into a ladder and drops 
to the ground.  He quickly chakes his head and climbs up the ladder, 
with Kinjite right behind.

On the ground…

Shar ducks under the vicous slash aimed at his head and slashes back at 
the Assassin Sister.  She dances out of the way and laughs as he misses.

Assassin Sister #1
(mockingly)
”Just to slow are we?  Your training is worse than a rookies!”

Suddenly the other one lunges under and lands a savage blow onto his 
left leg with a glowing paw.  The leg suddenly explodes and Shar is 
thrown across the site.  He skips across the ground and sits up.  He 
sees the rest of his leg sitting where he was.  He manages to get up on 
his remaining leg and looks down.  He sees the wiring sticking out from 
under the burnt fur.  The two Assassins stand there and look at the leg 
and then at the cybernetic cat.  Shar glares at them and hisses evilly.

Shar
(yelling)
”Now you gone and pissed me off!  Let’s see just how good Special 
Operative Shar can be in a one legged ass kicking contest!”

He lunges forward as an Assassin Sister does and catches her hand in 
mid swing.  She stops and looks shocked at the fact it didn’t explode.  
She looks up just in time to see Shar smile.  He leaps up, uses her arm 
for leverage, spins around, lands a solid kick in her throat and 
releases her hand.  He flips his remaining foot under and lands in a 
crouch, as the Assassin’s body flies back and slams into a piece of bar 
sticking out of a partial wall.  He turns and faces the next one.

Shar
(grinning)
”Just you and me.”

Above…

Dante runs out on to a skeletal structure and spins to face Kinjite.  
His claws are out and between them.

Dante
(teasing)
”Just think, your wife’s blod wsa spilled by these and your life will 
end by them!”

They collide with each other again and exchange a rapid series of 
punches and kicks.  Kinjite leaps back and lands on a different piece.  
Dante leaps out and across a couple cross beams to put distance between 
him and Kinjite.

Dante
(wiping some blood from his face)
”You’ve gotten better since our last fight.”

Kinjite just glares at him and waits.  They both look as they hear 
someone else climbing the ladder. Shari steps off onto the ladder and 
watches them.  Dante laughs as he sees her.  He turns to Kinjite.

Dante
(arrogantly)
”Do you think you can take both of us?”

Shari
“There is no both of us!  It’s your fight, I’m just here to make sure 
it ends how it is suppose to end!”

Dante glares at her and spits some blood onto the beam.

Dante
(hissing)
”You stupid female!  I’ll kill you after I kill him!”

Kinjite smiles and raises his claws.

Kinjite
(hissing)
”I’m still alive!”

Dante
(yelling)
”A problem soon remedied!”

They start circling again.

Shari
(thinking)
<I hope the Forbidden One kills him!  Cassie should have never used 
someone as arrogant as him!  Adding new targets that aren't approved by 
Cassie!>

In the Forest…

Allura continues running, with the two Assassin Sister behind her.  She 
opens her eyes and sees two other approaching her at high speed.  She 
runs straight at them.  At the last second, she leaps, slaps her left 
food against a tree and shoots over the two of them.  She rolls across 
the ground and right onto her feet, running still.  She now has four 
Assassin Sister behind her as she runs.  A small ball of grey fire 
appears in her hand as she holds it in front of her.  She drops it to 
the ground and quickly shoots past it.  The Assassin Sister run up, not 
seeing it, in the darkness.  The resulting explosion sends shockwaves 
through the forest.  Allura speeds up as she runs and can hear the 
shockwave right behind her.

At the site, on the ground…

Shar flips backward and avoids the enerby blast.  He lands on his hands 
and looks behind him.  He sees the Assassin Sister running at him.  He 
brings his leg down in a sweeping arc and back up, catching her in the 
stomach and throwing her backwards.  As she flies back,  the Assassin 
Sister lets loose another eberyg blast, that hits right between Shar’s 
paws.  The explosion throws him across the clearing and he bounces off 
a steel girder.  He lands on his face and rolls over.  He opens his 
eyes in time to see the Assassin come leaping down towards him.  Her 
clawed hand slashes into his chest, as both of his clawed hands snap 
upward, catching her in the throat.  With a tearing motion, he tears 
both sides of her neck out and the body drops to the ground, across him.  
He grabs the body and flings it aside.

Shar
(looking at the wires sticking out of his chest)
”I will never complain about cybernetics again.”

Above…

Dante lunges at Kinjite and lands a slash across the left side of his 
face, tearing out his eye patch.  Kinjite staggers back, barely 
stopping before he steps over the edge.  He clamps a paw over the 
bleeding eye socket and tries to see clearly.

Kinjite
(thinking)
<I can't seem to hit him hard enough to do any real damage!  It has to 
be that damn armor!>

Ayeka
(telepathically)
<Remember your training?  You’ll know when to strike!  Focus for once, 
Lance!>

Kinjite drops to one knee and looks up to see Dante stalking him.  His 
armor shinging in the flashes of lightning.

Dante
(yelling)
”Hurts don’t it?  Hurts like hell!  Just like when you rip that chunk 
out of my leg!”

Dante laughs and lunges towards Kinjite.  In that split second, time 
seems to stop.  Kinjite suddenly feels all anger pour down into his arm 
an dfocus into his fist.  His eye immediately locks onto Dante’s chest.  
It zooms in on a specific spot in the center, almost as if locking onto 
an individual atom.  Suddenly his arm snaps forward and collides with 
the armor.  Shari quickly ducks as the armor explodes and showers the 
surrounding area.  Dante is flung across the worksite and drops to the 
ground.  He lands at an awkward angle and there is a snapping sound as 
his neck twist at a severe angle.  Kinjite slowly stands up and looks 
over the edge.

Kinjite
(quietly)
”Our fight is over!”

Voice
(evilly)
”Not yet!”

A blast of energy slams into Kinjite’s back an dthrows him over the 
edge.  He quickly summons his magic and a pillar of black flames rushes 
up to catch him.  He lands on the ground and looks around.  Suddenly, 
another blast slams him into a steel girder and then smashes him 
through a partial wall.  Kinjite skips across the ground and slides to 
a stop by Shar.  He slowly stands up and looks around.

Kinjite
(yelling)
”Who the hell are you?!”

Strands flow from various shadows and form a humanoid shape in the 
clearing.  It molds itself and finally ends up looking like Kinjite, 
with two eyes.  He smiles at Kinjite and Shar.

Alternate Kinjite
“Miss me?”

In the Forest…

Allura can see the worksite.  She grabs her sword and draws it.  The 
blade suddenly burst into grey flames along the blade.

Allura
(thinking)
<He’s here!>

She plows through the brambles, ignoring their scratches.

In the work site…

Kinjite slams  face first into a steel pipe and is flung across the 
site.  He rolls to a stop and tries to stand up.  Shar is slammed into 
the ground beside him.  The Alternate Kinjite walks up and smiles at 
them.

Alternate Kinjite
(smiling)
”Just think, Kinjite.  Six years ago, you tore my body in half, with 
the aid of another Kinjite!  I bet you thought that was the end of it.”
(he kicks Kinjite in the face and flips him over)
”Oh, I’m sorry.  I meant to do this!”
(he stomps down on Kinjite’s stomach)
”You are truly pathetic, if you thought that would kill me!”

Shar makes an attempt to grab the Alternate Kinjite>  He grabs Shar’s 
arm and lifts him off the ground.

Alternate Kinjite
(raising an eyebrow)
”Well, now I’ve seen everything.  Kitty in a can!”

He holds Shar up and spins him around.  With a quick flick of the wrist, 
he bends Shar’s arm at an odd angle and brings it smashing down on his 
knee, snapping it in two.  Shar flops onto the ground and rolls over.  
Alter Kinjite looks at the arm and drops it.

Alternate Kinjite
(curious)
”I wonder just how many limbs can I tear off, before I find flesh and 
blood?”

He starts walking towards Shar.  Suddenly Kinjite grabs his legs, in an 
attempt to stop him.

Alternate Kinjite
(sighing)
”Oh, give me a break already!  Don’t you know when you’re beat?”

Suddenly a tendril of white energy shoots up out of the ground and 
spears into the Alternate Kinjite’s groin.  Just then, Allura leaps out 
of the brush, with a battle cry.  Alternate Kinjite looks up in shock, 
exposing his throat.

Allura
(yelling)
”Welcome to the Greyness of Oblivion, father!”

Her sword slashes and the Alternate Kinjite screams as his body 
dissolves.  Allura looks down at Kinjite and he smiles at her.  
Suddenly Allura spins around and flips her sword.  It slices through 
the air and spears Shari through the shoulder, to a board.  She screams 
in pain and drops the helmet she was holding.  Allura starts towards 
her with grey flames on her paws.

Kinjite
(struggling to stand)
”Hold on, Allura!”
(he looks at Shari)
”Where are the other nine Assassins?”

Allura
(watching Shari)
”I dispatched seven of them on my way here.”

Shari
(trying to pull the sword out)
”Destroy the helmet and I will tell you!”

Allura picks it up and looks at it.  Kinjite motions for her to bring 
it to him.    He takes it and looks at it.  He notices that the emerald 
seems to shine a little.

Shari
(in his mind)
<Cassie is watching through it!”

Kinjite nods and looks into the emerald.

Kinjite
(hissing)
”I will kill you for sending that freak after me and my family!”

He raises his hand and the white and black spikes grow out of it.  He 
smashes his hand down on to the gem.  The helmet explodes in slivers.

On Aldebaran…

Cassie lowers her paws and looks at the pieces of crystal on the ground.

Cassie
“amazing.  So much power.  Maybe I should learn more about this power.”

She picks up her wine glass and raises it to the shattered crystal 
pieces in salute.

Cassie
(smiling)
”Until next time Kinjite.”
(she takes a sip from her glass.)
“Now to train other Assassins to replace those twelve.”

On Atlantis…

Kinjite looks at Shari.

Kinjite
“Now where are the last two?”

Shari
(quietly)
“You will need to travel quick.  They have a head start.  Allow me to 
help you, for they are going after those who weren’t even targets.”

Allura
(gasping)
”No!  Not them!”

Scene 8
Medical Facility

Chelsea is sitting in a chair and watching out the window.  Ayami and 
Younger Allura are lying in the bed together.  Suddenly there is a 
thump outside the door and Chelsea spins to the door, drawing her 
blaster.

Ayami
(sitting up partway)
”What is it?”

Chelsea motions for her to remain silent and slowly reaches for the 
door.  Suddenly it slams open and two Assassin Sister lunge through it.  
One of them grabs Chelsea’s wrist and they tumble to the ground, 
fighting for the blaster.  The other one lunges for Ayami, who shoves 
Younger Allura off the bed and dives off as well.  She feels a sharp 
pain in her stomach and gasp.  The Assasssin comes over the bed and 
lands over her.  She wraps her hands around Ayami’s neck and starts 
chocking her.  Younger Allura hides behind a small table and sees this.  
She watches in horror as her mom tries to fight back.  Deep inside of 
her, Allura feels something growing, but she stands there in fear.  Her 
mom keeps fighting futilely as her lungs fight to breath.  Younger 
Allura sees blood spreading across her mom’s gown on her stomach.  At 
that sight, Younger Allura feels something in her snap.  Her body is 
suddenly wrapped in grey flames and her rage swells up to the surface.

Younger Allura
(screaming)
”You leave my mommy alone!”

She runs forward and swings her little fist at the Assassin, just like 
she had seen her father practice many times.  The Assassin looks up, 
surprised at this and the little fist smashes into her nose, breaking 
it.  The impact throws the Assassin over backwards.  The other Assassin 
looks over to check on her partner, distracted for a moment.  A moment 
that Chelsea needed.  Chelsea quickly pulls a dagger out of her sleeve 
and plunges it into the Assassin’s throat and yanks side wards.  The 
Assassin grabs for her throat as her blood starts flowing out it.  
Chelsea quickly grabs her blaster and fires at the one she is fighting, 
scoring a direct hit in the spell gem on the Assassin’s forehead.  She 
spins and fires at the other one.  The blast going through her head gem 
as well.  Ayami slowly climbs up on the bed, coughing and looks at her 
daughter, who is helping her.

Ayami
(coughing)
”Where did you learn to punch like that?”

Younger Allura
(smiling weakly)
”Watching you and daddy roughhouse.”

Ayami smiles and hugs her grey flame covered daughter.

Ayami
“I guess we don’t need to test you after all.”

A half hour later….

Kinjite limps through the door and sees Ayami laying on the bed, with 
guards all around.  He looks over and sees the two dead bodies.  He 
limps over and Ayami opens her eyes.  She quickly hugs him and he gasp 
in pain.

Kinjite
(gasping)
”Careful, Ayami, I think one of my ribs have obtained two ness.”

Ayami lets go of him and looks at him, realizing just how messed up he 
is.  Older Allura walks in, helping Shar walk in, who is carrying his 
other leg.  Shari walks behind them, in handcuffs.

Chelsea
(looking at the two males)
”Sheesh, I find it hard to believe that you’re the winning side!”

Kinjite
(sittng down by Ayami)
”What happened here?”

Chelsea 
(shrugging)
”Two Assassin Sisters attacked and we fought them off.  Only know we 
have another problem.”

Older Allura
(looking around)
”What?”

Younger Allura stepped from behind the bed, still covered in grey 
flames.

Younger Allura
(embarrassed)
”How do you stop this?”

Kinjite just sits there stunned at the sight.  Shar chuckles and shakes 
his head.

Scene 9
The next morning.

Kinjite sits patiently as Otacon checks over him.

Otacon
(nodding)
”That should do for now.  Try to be more careful, Master Oni Lance.”

Kinjite nods and stands up.  He walks out the door and sees Shari 
sitting on the bench under a tree.

Kinjite
(approaching)
”Well, Otacon told me that you were able to remove the magic from Ayami, 
so he could fully  heal her.”

Shari
(nodding)
”It was easy.  I was the one who made the enchantment on the claws.  I 
knew how to undo it as well.  I am glad to here that she will fully 
heal.  Her wound was severe; will she be able to have anymore kittens?”

Kinjite
(sitting by her)
”Unsure.  We just have to wait and see.  I owe you my wife’s life.  I 
can’t honestly sentence you to death.  You didn’t attack me or her at 
all.  King Hwang says that you haven’t committed a crime either.  So 
you’re free to leave.”

Shari
(looking down)
”Where will I go?  I failed a mission and the punishment is usually 
death for such failure.”

Shar, with a temporary leg, and Chelsea walk up and nod to Kinjite.  
Shar looks at Shari.

Shar
(nodding)
”I heard you don’t have anywhere to go.  I was given permission to do 
this, since we are in the times of war and could use all the help we 
could get.  King Hwang has offered you a place to stay and a place to 
live in return for helping Master Oni Lance.”

Shari looks around at the Atlanteans in shock.

Shari
(cautiously)
”Are you sure?””

Voice
(from behind her)
”They wouldn’t offer it if they didn’t mean it. I found that out.”

Shari turns an dsees Older Allura standing there, with her sword on her 
back.  Shari nods and looks round.

Shari
(quietly)
”Thank you.”

That night….

Kinjite is laying in his bed, beside Ayami.  He looks out the window 
and sighs.  Ayeka slowly pulls her self out of him and drifts over to 
the edge of the bed.  Kinjite slowly sits up as she forms into her 
Atlantean form.

Ayeka
(quietly)
”It looks like the pain and suffering you went through has toughened 
you up quite a bit.  It looks like you passed that onto your daughter 
as well.  Both versions of  her.”

Kinjite
(nodding)
”Yeah, I guess your right.  Look mom, I’m sorry about what I said last 
night in the forest.  It was just hard, for those four hundred years.  
Then having you there, but not knowing it was you.”

Ayeka
(nodding)
”I wanted to tell you, Lance, but I was told I couldn’t.  It was a test 
for you.  I am proud of the way you turned out.  I was very happy when 
I watched you marry her.”

Kinjite nods and looks at her for a moment.  She walks around the bed 
and up to his side.  She stops right in front of him.

Ayeka
(quietly)
”I do have a wedding gift for you and your wife.”

She points a finger and a shadowy tendril slides out it.  It gently 
slides under the covers, heading towards Ayami.  Ayami squirms in her 
sleep, but doesn’t wake up.  She rolls over and sighs slightly.  The 
tendril disappears and Ayeka smiles.

Kinjite
(confused)
”What did you do?”

Ayeka
(smiling)
”She will have her kittens she wants.  I was forbidden in effecting 
*your* path.  I merely fixed hers.”

Ayeka slowly leans over and gently kisses Kinjite on the forehead.

Ayeak
(as she stand up)
”I have to go, but I will always be with you.  I will help you when you 
need the help, son.”

Kinjite
(nodding)
”Thanks… mom.”

Ayeka smiles as she slowly vanishes into the darkness.  Kinjite slides 
back into bed and curls up by his wife.

At Shar’s apartment…

Shar is sitting up, working on his leg.  He looks up as Ayeka appears 
out of the darkness.  He starst to stand, but Ayeak motions for him to 
stop.

Ayeak
(smiling)
”Don’t worry about bowing to me, Shar.  I have come to ask for a favor 
from you.”

Shar
(proudly)
”Anything, Great Priesess Ayeak!”

Ayeka
(nodding)
”Help my son.  His road will be harder soon and he can use all the help 
he can get.”
(she raises a paw and the light flows out of Shar and forms a ball by 
Ayeka)
”You can call on him when you need his help to help my son.  I can’t 
make you a Chosen again, Shar, but I can give you temporary access to 
it.”

Shar nods and smiles.

Shar
(bowing)
”As you wish, Ascended Techi Ayeka.”

Ayeka smiles and fades into the shadows again.  The ball of light flows 
out the window and streaks into the stormy night sky.  Shar smiles and 
returns to work on his leg.
